With just about a month to go until South by Southwest puts a strangle hold on Austin, TX, the festival has revealed its preliminary music schedule and another batch of confirmed artists.
Among the acts set to perform official showcases during the week of March 11th – 16th are: Kurt Vile, Chance the Rapper, Bob Mould, Warpaint, Madlib, Sam Smith, ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, Future, Little Dragon, Mark Kozelek, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Christopher Owens, Perfume Genius, Matrimony, Eagulls, The Fresh & Onlys, Mutual Benefit, THEESatisfaction, Deap Vally, Isaiah Rashad, Kevin Gates, Weekend, and Yamantaka //Sonic Titan.
Other new additions include Boys Noize, Dam-Funk, Julian Lennon, Little Boots, Kate Nash, Tennis, Tech N9ne, Lunice, Timber Timbre, J. Roddy Walston & The Business, Lee Fields & The Expressions, Kelley Stoltz, No Joy, Trust, Denzel Curry, Dianne Coffe, Hozier, Hundred Waters, Ital, Meg Myers, NO, and, yes– Macaulay Culkin’s Velvet Underground covers band, The Pizza Underground.
These new acts join a lineup which already included Twin Shadow, Charli XCX, Dum Dum Girls, Rustie, Ryan Hemsworth, Mobb Deep, Action Bronson, Angel Olsen, OFF!, Hospitality, Tyvek, S.
