The Pains of Being Pure at Heart announce 2014 American tour, share teaser for new album

A new album from The Pains of Being Pure at Heart might hit shelves sooner than we thought. The New York shoegaze outfit previously hinted at the highly-anticipated third LP in December; now Kip Berman & Co. have announced a North American tour and shared a short teaser trailer of new music.

The spring trek runs from early March through late May and includes stops at South By Southwest and the Buku Music + Art Project in New Orleans. Meanwhile, the one-minute trailer, dubbed “Art Smock”, features black-and-white visuals paired up with a soft acoustic number. The clip closes with the words Days of Abandon, presumably the title of the new LP. Watch it below, followed by the band’s upcoming itinerary.
