Kanye West is postponing his upcoming Australian tour dates. No, it’s not because he’s on probation; rather, Kanye will reportedly spend the time to finish up his next album.
A statement from LiveNation Australia reads: “Due to unexpected timing requirements to finish his highly anticipated new studio album, scheduled for a 2014 release, Kanye West regretfully announces the postponement of his upcoming tour dates in Australia.” And no, it’s not an April Fools’ joke as Live Nation noted in a later tweet.
Originally scheduled for May, the Australian jaunt has been rescheduled for September. Kanye is also reported to have postponed his upcoming UK/European tour, though the dates were never formally announced to begin with. Find his current docket of upcoming dates below.
Update: Kanye will tour the UK and Europe in January 2015.
As previously reported, the rapper is looking to make the follow-up to Yeezus his personal Born in the U.S.A.
