Listen: Gallant’s beautiful new song “Jupiter Grayscale”

Following a string of collaborations with SZA associate Felix Snow, Los Angeles crooner Gallant has teamed up with UK producer Maths Time Joy for a new track entitled “Jupiter Grayscale”.

Calling to mind How To Dress Well and his penchant for atmospherics, the track is minimalist in structure, but an emotional wildfire at its core. Leading the blaze is Gallant’s incandescent falsetto, equal parts beautiful and profoundly scarred by past heartbreaks.

“When you make a ton of sacrifices for someone — give what you thought was everything — it can take a lot to look back and admit that you were the one who pulled everything apart,” Gallant tells FADER of the song’s emotional content. “I was selfish, I was big-headed, I was insincere and I apologized way too late.”
