Listen: How To Dress Well’s gorgeous new song “Words I Don’t Remember”

Since the release of his excellent 2012 album Total Loss, How To Dress Well’s Tom Krell has collaborated with Shlohmo and Jacques Greene and even covered Kanye West, Drake, and Smog. This week, he finally returns with his first original HTDW composition in nearly two years.

“Words I Don’t Remember” sees Krell expanding on the ambient, electronic-R&B sound of his past material, conjuring up a breathy and blossoming ballad. “If you could let your angels out, I’d rescue one at a time,” he confesses, sounding like a man down on bended knee. Listen in below.

“Words I Don’t Remember” will officially be released on March 7th via Domino Recording Company. There’s no word yet on whether it will appear on a full-length album, but it’s worth noting the track’s posted on the HTDW website “What Is This Heart”.

While we await further details, check out the dates for Krell’s spring tour alongside Forest Swords. He’s previously mentioned he’d be “playing a lot of new material”.
