Listen: Merchandise’s sunny new song “Figured Out”

Florida post-punks Merchandise trade in the fuzz-laden aggression of last year’s Total Nite for sunnier pop pastures on “Figured Out”. The track, part of a forthcoming Record Store Day split LP with Milk Music and Destruction Unit, brims with breezy Smiths-esque cadences and gleaming guitar lines. While they might’ve once had more in common with their noisy Eagulls brethren, Merchandise’s new material indicates they’re headed for melodic Yuck territory. Take a listen at NPR.

The Merchandise/Milk Music/Destruction Unit split comes out on Record Store Day, April 19th, via 540 Records.

    Catch Merchandise live this summer.
