Listen: Neighbors’ breezy new song “Loretta”

Seattle-based band Neighbors produce scrappy yet infectious indie pop. Fronted by José Díaz, the group was brought up in the Pacific Northwest DIY scene, releasing a string of limited-run CDs, tour-only cassettes, and a “lost” 10-inch EP. Now, after mixing and producing records for bands like Chastity Belt, Dude York, and Posse, Díaz is back with Neighbor for their full-length, Will You Please Be Quiet, Please?, which will hit stores on May 13th via BADH Records.

The album’s lead single, “Loretta”, is a rollicking rip of eccentric and affecting guitar-heavy pop. It channels C86-era indie with its jangly, memorable riffs as well as the charming hooks of current torchbearers Speedy Ortiz and Ex Cops. Listen in below.
