Following last week’s rattler “Let It Burn”, Chicago rockers The Orwells have unveiled “Southern Comfort”, another new song off their forthcoming major-label debut, Disgraceland.
Though the track’s got enough lo-fi grit to sound born and bred in a dingy garage, its infectious, happy-go-lucky swagger makes it ideal for sunnier playlists and backyard BBQs. “Give me a smile and take off your pants,” the band plead with punkish delight. Take a listen below.
Disgraceland hits shelves on June 3rd via Canvasback/Atlantic. It features production from TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek, Chris Coady (Grizzly Bear, Yeah Yeah Yeahs), and Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys, Bombay Bicycle Club).
