Just when we thought Courtney Love was on the path to redemption after hugging Dave Grohl, she goes and bashes The Boss. On the latest episode of Love’s YouTube series “#Courtneyon”, the Hole singer expresses her not-so-positive opinion on American icon Bruce Springsteen.
Courtney admits she’s a fan of Nebraska (hey, us too) and thinks he’s a swell guy, but says she just doesn’t jive with Bruce’s music. The main reason for her distaste? The Big Man saxophonist Clarence Clemons — a man, we might point out, who just entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the E Street Band alongside Nirvana.
“Saxophones don’t belong in rock ‘n’ roll,” she says, repeating, “They just don’t belong. I mean, they just don’t belong in rock ‘n’ roll.” Just off the top of our head, we can think of a few examples to the contrary.
To be fair, Love makes the point that Bruce probably isn’t listening to Hole records, either. Well who is, really? Watch the whole clip below.
