Swedish-born, London-based soul singer Fatima will release her debut album, Yellow Memories, on May 12th via Eglo Records. In anticipation, she’s shared her latest single “Ridin Round (Sky High)”.
An intoxicating mix of cool and sultry, smooth and prickly, the track features Fatima’s velvety vocals floating effortlessly over a stream of buzzy and twisted production. The man behind the boards, tasked with setting the mood? Los Angeles producer Scoop DeVille, best known for his work on Kendrick Lamar’s excellent good kid, m.A.A.d city, specifically the Drake-aided “Poetic Justice”. Listen in below (via FADER).
