Yesterday marked the one-year anniversary of Tyler, the Creator’s third LP Wolf. In commemoration, he’s announced plans to release the album on vinyl for the first time; now, he’s shared the original version of the album track “Cowboy”.
According to Tyler, this rough mix was the “original” version, but he just didn’t “feel like putting it on the album”. It’s shame, because the lower vocal pitch, like Beelzebub speaking through a voice digitizer, makes the track feel all that more dark and brooding. That said, he’s got some surprisingly insightful ideas about releasing music, so who are we to doubt the kid?
