In the lead up to the May 20th release of his new album Kludge, Austin’s own Daniel Pujol, a.k.a. PUJOL, has shared two rollicking singles, “Pitch Black” and “Circles”. Today, though, he slows down the tempo considerably, unveiling the acoustic-driven “Dark Haired Suitor”.

Speaking to American Songwriter, Pujol explains, “I demoed this song a while back on a 7-inch, back when I only had access to GarageBand. I wanted to give the song a real recording because I like it, and it fit the narrative of Kludge. So I gave the song a real recording of itself.” It’s a good thing, too, as Pujol’s re-recording helps demonstrate a more thoughtful and contemplative side of the normally maniacal rocker.
