At tonight’s BET Awards, Lionel Richie was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award. The accolade includes a moving video tribute and a nice big trophy, but don’t you dare expect proper spelling of your name. That’s reserved for artists with more than 13 Top 10 singles and 100 million albums sold worldwide. Alas, maybe next decade?
