In September, Chromeo will support their latest LP, White Women, by embarking on the “Frequent Flyer Tour”, a month-long jaunt presented in part by Mallard Air. If you’ve never had the joy of flying with Mallard, you’re probably not alone; with a bug-ridden website and a truly ridiculous Twitter feed, all signs point to Mallard as nothing more than an inflated marketing campaign.
However, if you’re going to invent a fictional airline, might as well go all the way with it, right? Case in point: Chromeo has joined forces with the folks at Funny or Die to shoot an in-flighty safety. The duo and their flight crew offer plenty of helpful and hip lil’ tips: 1) each door has a detachable slide that can be used as a “pretty dope slide”; 2) that the oxygen masks also make for nifty hookahs; and 3) in case of a water landing, cocktails will actually be served atop the aircraft.
It may be fictional, but look at it like this: Mallard Air will never lose your baggage and leave you stranded in Decatur with a meal voucher for Taco Bell. Watch it below:
