Big Ears Festival reveals 2015 lineup

    Big Ears Festival will return to Knoxville, Tennessee from March 27th – 29th, 2015. As in past years, the eclectic lineup features artists from a variety of genres, including indie rock, avant-garde, jazz, and classical music.

    Notable acts include SwanstUnE-yArDs, Jamie xx, Perfume Genius, Grouper, Ben Frost, Amen Dunes, Jim Jarmusch’s new musical project SQÜRL, The Bad Plus, Sam Amidon, Rhiannon Giddens, and Nosaj Thing.

    Kronos Quartet will serve as the festival’s artists-in-residence and perform several sets over the course of the weekend, including an on-stage collaborations with Laurie Anderson, Wilco’s Nels Cline, The National’s Bryce Dessner, and Polaris Music Prize winner Tanya Tagaq.

    Legendary composers Terry Riley, Max Richter, and Harold Budd are also included on the initial lineup.

    Weekend passes go on sale Friday, November 14th at an early-bird price of $153.50. Once that allotment is sold out, the price increases to $178.50 and then $199.50. Visit the festival’s website for more info.
