He came, he saw, he conquered: Prince delivered a rare TV appearance on Saturday Night Live, and did not disappoint. Instead of adhering to the sketch show’s usual two-song format for musical guests, Prince performed one uninterrupted, eight-minute long jam session.
The medley showcased his two new studio albums, Plectrumelectrum and Art Official Age, with performances of “Clouds”, “Plectrum Electrum”, “Marz”, and “Another Love”. Accompanied by 3rdEyeGirl and singer Lianne La Havas, Prince split his time on piano and wailing away on guitar.
Replay all the epicness below, but first, here are two tweets that perfectly put the night into context.
I don't pretend to understand the science, but the microphone stand at Saturday Night Live is now pregnant.
