This past weekend, Weezer performed at the fourth installment of Burger Records’ Burgerama Festival in Santa Ana, California. They brought along a very special guest for the occasion, as Rivers Cuomo’s father Frank accompanied the band by playing drums.
Together, the father-son duo rocked out to “Back To The Shack”, one of the punchier singles off Weezer’s latest album, Everything Will Be Alright In The End. As great as the band’s Patrick Wilson is behind the kit, wouldn’t it be pretty neat to have your pops jam and tour with you? Me thinks so. Somebody give Frank a gig already!
Below, check out a couple photos and clips of the familial collaboration (some courtesy of actor Ryan Phillippe), followed by a full video of Weezer’s set (Frank pops up around the 30:00 minute mark).
