Miley Cyrus and The Flaming Lips have long been teasing a collaborative album. Last night, fans got their first taste of the material as Cyrus headlined Adult Swim’s Upfronts at Terminal 5. (Upfront (n): a sales meeting the TV industry during which major advertisers get an “up front” look at a forthcoming season so they can buy ad space in advance.) Near the end of her show, she was joined by Wayne Coyne and Steven Drozd to debut their new song “Tiger Dreams”.

Dressed in giant butterfly wings and nipple pasties, Cyrus introduced the song by saying, “As you can imagine, Wayne doesn’t listen much to Katy Perry, and I had to tell him that she already has a song called ‘Tiger’ and that we can’t do that. So this is ‘Tiger Dreams.’” We’ll just assume she meant “Roar”. Watch them perform the slow-burning psych-pop number below.

Coyne shared a close-up clip from rehearsals, as well.

Miley also smoked a giant blunt on stage, and covered Khia’s 2002 masterpiece “My Neck, My Back (Lick It)”. “Do you know how many times I turn on the radio and hear somebody ask me to suck his dick?” Cyrus asked before jumping into the cover. “This is the best song! Now suck my fucking pussy!” Oh, Miley.

Besides debuting new material and being crude (well, it was Adult Swim), Cyrus promoted her Happy Hippie charity.

“I’m not one to slow down the party, but there’s some people here wearing some suits and ties and shit, so I’m guessing there are some people have money. But there’s some people who have money and don’t have clean shoes and underwear, and that’s what I’m doing with my foundation. We’re not changing — I gotta get used to saying this, because it’s real now — we are changing the world. And I’ll be here, because there’s a bar, if you guys wanna know how to get involved.”

She boosted the organization again this morning by sharing a new Backyard Sessions performance. This time around, Cyrus was joined by fellow pop sensation Ariana Grande for a take on the Crowded House classic “Don’t Dream It’s Over”. Dressed respectively as a fuzzy unicorn and (I’m going to say) a koala, the pair sat on a green inflatable green couch, flirted and turned in a pretty sweet acoustic cover. Check it out:
