Movement Detroit announces set times and stages

Celebrating techno, house, and hip-hop this Memorial Day

Detroit’s Movement Electronic Music Festival returns to Hart Plaza this Memorial Day weekend, May 23rd – 25th. In anticipation, festival organizers have revealed the set times and stages schedule, which features over 140 artists across six stages.

The Movement Main Stage features the main headliners performing over the three nights: Richie Hawtin on Saturday, Skrillex and Boys Noize’s Dog Blood on Sunday, and Snoop Dogg’s DJ Snoopadelic persona on Monday. Sunday also sees Kenny Glasgow and Jonny White perform together as Art Department for one of the last times before the former leaves to pursue a solo career.

Disclosure takes over the Red Bull Music Academy stage on Saturday for their Wild Life showcase, which sees Method Man, Eats Everything, and Disclosure themselves performing. The Metroplex 30-year Anniversary Showcase falls on Sunday, with Eddie Fowlkes, Kimyon, and Juan Atkins under his Model 500 moniker taking the stage. Monday brings !!!, Brodinski, and a headlining spot from Squarepusher.

Each day features a different showcase take over the Made in Detroit stage, including Detroit Love (headlined by Carl Craig), Ghostly International (closed out by Matthew Dear), and Kevin Saunderson Presents ORIGINS (with Saunderson teaming with Derrick May for “Hi-Tech Soul”).
