Reunited after 13 years apart, Conor Oberst’s punk outfit Desparecidos made a rare late night TV appearance last night. Supporting their new album, Payolathe band performed lead single “City on the Hill” for Seth Meyers audience. Set to hit the road this summer on one of the season’s most anticipated tours, Oberst and the boys proved they’re as sharp as ever as they knocked out an adrenaline-fueled performance highlighted by low-neck riffs and Oberst’s signature sandy wail. Sure, the LP may be their first in over a decade, but the Omaha five-pieced still know how to rip it.
