Ever prolific, Ty Segall has been a member of no fewer than seven bands, including the likes of Sic Alps, Fuzz, Epsilons, Ty Segall Band, and others. Now he’s bumped the number up to eight by forming Broken Bat with Dale Crover of Melvins and Steven McDonald of Redd Kross and OFF!.
By way of announcing the new musical union, the band has posted a “Just a taste edit” of their track “Take My Medicine” to Bandcamp. Despite tags of “hip-hop/rap” and “mainstream hip-hop,” the cut is a sludgey, scuzzy force filled with howls and scowls. Take a listen below.
