Before embarking on an expansive tour this fall, Chris Cornell will release Higher Truth, the follow-up to 2009’s Scream, on September 18th. The Soundgarden frontman’s first solo record in six years was produced by Brendan O’Brien. In anticipation, he’s premiered a neo-folk acoustic track called “Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart” as the lead single. Watch the lyric video below. It’s also available to download here.
