Duran Duran shares new song “You Kill Me With Silence” — listen

Another cut off of the forthcoming Paper Gods

Duran Duran have premiered another new track from their first album in five years, Paper GodsWhile much of the record features guest appearances, like Janelle Monáe and Nile Rodgers on “Pressure Off” and Mr Hudson on the title track, the new cut “You Kill Me With Silence” is 100% Duran.

Opening with a synth line and drum machine beat that’s vaguely reminiscent of a hip-hop track, “You Kill Me With Silence” starts to slowly burn as singer Simon Le Bon’s vocals drop in. He laments the powers of a lover who refuses to reciprocate his affections with even the slightest of words. “But I remain/ despite your deadly aim/ to drive another lad insane/ When you won’t speak my name,” Le Bon sings.

Due out on September 11th, Paper Gods also features contributions from John Frusciante, Mark Ronson, and — seriously — Lindsay Lohan, among others.
