On Monday evening, the Fat Wrecked for 25 Years tour came through the Cunard Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Fittingly, NOFX took the stage to close out the evening, but they had to set things right regarding one particular audience member first.
The band was making some warmup banter with the crowd when guitarist El Hefe noticed one “beardo” gentlemen who didn’t seem to be enjoying all the chatter. He was standing right up front in a tie dyed shirt and a beard, a “hipster” who didn’t quite seem to fit in with the crowd and whose very presence irritated frontman Fat Mike.
“Yeah, you know what? You have no business being here. I will pay you $100 to leave this show,” Mike offered the audience member. “Are you going to stand in front and bother me all day with your fucking tie dye shirt and your beard?” The guy seemed determined to, so Mike did the only thing he could do: He bought the offending shirt right off the guy’s back for $20.
