Gene Wilder

It’s been 13 years since Gene Wilder last appeared on camera in a cameo role on Will & Grace. His last feature-length film appearance came in the form of 1991’s Another You. But if Steven Spielberg has his way, the legendary actor could soon be making a comeback.

According to Ain’t It Cool News, Spielberg is courting Wilder for a role in an unspecified project. Spielberg has several films in the works, including adaptations of Roald Dahl’s Big Friendly Giant and Ernest Cline’s Ready Player One.

Ain’t It Cool speculates Wilder may be in line to lend his voice for Big Friendly Giant. Another possibility is the role of James Halliday, the creator of Oasis in Ready Player One.
