Yoko Ono wants you to imagine what could happen if we give peace a chance. To celebrate what would have been the 75th birthday of her late husband and Beatles great John Lennon, Ono will attempt to break the world record for most people in a human peace sign.

Ono has sent out the call for 6,000 and 10,000 people to come to Central Park’s East Meadow October 6th, three days before Lennon would have turned 75. Her hope is to arrange all the participants in a human peace sign to smash a Guiness World Record currently set at 5,814. In addition, the event will support the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus, a non-profit roaming Pro Audio and HD video recording studio.

The event is free, though Ono is encouraging donations for the Educational Tour Bus via Eventbrite. Registration and placement assignments will end at noon on October 6th, with an aerial photograph scheduled for 12:30.
