Good news, Tim Heidecker: The sequel to Tom Cruise’s other action-packed franchise Jack Reacher has finally begun production in New Orleans, Louisiana. What’s more, the film has rounded out its principal cast and it’s an intriguing one.

Jack Reacher: Never Go Back will also star Cobie Smulders (Results), Danika Yarosh (Shameless), Austin Hebert (Bonnie and Clude), Patrick Heusinger (Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce), Aldis Hodge (Straight Outta Compton), and Holt McCallany (Blue Bloods). Considering the original had Werner Herzog as a villain, it’s a shame this one couldn’t nab someone like David Lynch.

Director Edward Zwick (Glory) steps in for last go around’s Christopher McQuarrie, who will now serve as producer alongside Cruise. They’ll work off a script based on Lee Child’s 18th book in the best-selling series, written by Richard Wenk (The Equalizer), Marshall Herskovitz (Love and Other Drugs), and Zwick.

The film hits theaters on October 21st, 2016 — yes, a whole year from now. In the meantime, here’s the ass-kicking trailer for its predecessor, which film critic Gregg Turkington initially declared an “instant classic”:
