Trick or treat? Treat. A new 96-second trailer has surfaced for By the Sea, next month’s on-screen reunion between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. There isn’t any dialogue, only decadent shots zeroing in on decadent actors with decadent piano notes.
Written and directed by Jolie, By the Sea is a drama set in the ’70s about an American writer (Pitt) and his wife (Jolie) who abscond to a French seaside resort in an effort to escape (or fix?) their marital problems. It’s going to be sexy probably.
Also starring Mélanie Laurent, Niels Arestrup, Melvil Poupaud, and Richard Bohringer, the film was classically shot using lots of natural light by Austrian cinematographer Christian Berger (The White Ribbon).
