Bryan Cranston and Mila Kunis to star in remake of Norwegian action comedy Jackpot

The Lone Ranger hunk Armie Hammer also joining in on the crazy fun

Well, this one sounds like a ’90s rental: Bryan Cranston, Mila Kunis, and Armie Hammer are set to star in a remake of a 2011 Norwegian comedy titled Jackpot. It’s about a guy who wakes up in a strip club, surrounded by dead people and angry cops.

As Deadline reports, Will Gluck will direct from a script written by Dave Callaham. Gluck is no stranger to the remake, having helmed 2014’s incorrigible reimagining of Annie, while Callaham flexed his muscles previously on The Expendables. Yikes.

One has to wonder why Cranston, fresh off an Oscar nomination, is signing up for this. Then again, it’s not like he isn’t already attached to Intouchables, another remake, this time of the French variety, with Kevin Hart. Well, at least he’s shaking it up.

What’s more, Jennifer Garner is believed to be hopping aboard. She’ll have to decide soon as production begins this summer.
