It only feels like yesterday that Justin Timberlake dropped two albums on us and toured the world. Well, that was three years ago with the two-volume The 20/20 Experience, and since then he’s appeared alongside a posthumous Michael Jackson and hung out with Jimmy Fallon multiple times. Now, he’s back.
Sort of. While he’s still in the early stages of recording a fifth studio album, he’s starring in Dreamworks’ forthcoming flick Trolls with Pitch Perfect songstress Anna Kendrick. Naturally, he opted to record a tune for the soundtrack, and that’s what we’re being blessed with right now via “Can’t Stop The Feeling”.
Soulful and vibrant, this four-minute mound of disco dust is “A-level Timberlake,” as our Deputy Editor Philip Cosores sold it a few minutes ago. We can’t say how the film will fare, but damn, the soundtrack’s worth a look if it’s this good. It’s enough to make you forget that nonsense he added to Jigga’s last LP.
