Robert Langdon is back for Inferno. Did that send shivers down your spine? Of the good kind?

Probably not. It’s been awhile since anyone was head over heels for a Dan Brown novel — remember those halcyon days of the mid-aughts when nobody could shut up about Da Vinci? — but Ron Howard’s second sequel admittedly looks intriguing.

Starring Tom Hanks and Felicity Jones, the action-adventure keeps things biblical by focusing less on Italian polymaths and more on Italian poets. Yes, as the title suggests, this one’s going full Dante, and things are about to get quite hellish.

Here’s the official synopsis:

Academy Award® winner Ron Howard returns to direct the latest bestseller in Dan Brown’s (Da Vinci Code) billion-dollar Robert Langdon series, Inferno, which finds the famous symbologist (again played by Tom Hanks) on a trail of clues tied to the great Dante himself. When Langdon wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia, he teams up with Sienna Brooks (Felicity Jones), a doctor he hopes will help him recover his memories. Together, they race across Europe and against the clock to foil a deadly global plot.
