Riot Fest’s 2016 lineup was already batshit crazy, and yet festival organizers have made even more additions to the bill.
Julian Marley will perform his father’s seminal album Exodus for the first time at Riot Fest Denver, set for September 2nd – 4th. at the National Western Complex. Marley, along with other new additions including Gogol Bordello, 2 Chainz, and DeVotchKa, join a lineup that already included The Misfits, Ween, and Death Cab For Cutie along with exclusive performances from Sleater-Kinney, Jane’s Addiction (performing Ritual De Lo Habitual), Wolf Parade, and Tyler the Creator.
Two weeks later (Sept. 16th – 18th), Riot Fest Chicago will take place in Douglas Park, featuring the likes of The Misfits, Morrissey, Ween, Social Distortion (performing White Light, White Heat, White Trash), Rob Zombie (performing White Zombie’s Astro-Creep: 2000), Death Cab For Cutie, Brand New, NAS, Deftones, Refused, Death Grips, Descendents, The Specials, Foo Fighters side-project Chevy Metal, and Fugazi offshoot Girls Against Boys.
Now adding to the impressive Chicago lineup are Marley (performing Exodus), Sleater-Kinney, The Flaming Lips, The Julie Ruin, and The Bronx.
Single-Day and additional multi-day tickets for Riot Fest in Denver and Chicago will go on sale today (Tuesday, June 28th) at Noon CST via the festival’s website.
