Chicago’s Savemoney hip-hop collective has been especially prolific the last few months, what with releases by Joey Purp, Towkio, and, of course, Chance the Rapper, who’s well on his way to nabbing a Grammy for Coloring Book. Fellow member Brian Fresco is also getting in on the fun with plans to put out a new mixtape called Casanova on July 5th.
BJ the Chicago Kid and Boi-1da are expected to appear on the collection, as well Lil Chano from the 79th himself. The two Savemoney MCs link up on the track “Higher”, a slinky number that also features additional contributions from Blue Hawaii, the Canadian duo comprised of Braids’ Raphaelle Standell-Preston and Alex Cowan.
