Shura ponders the “what-ifs” on wistful new song “Make It Up” — listen

The latest preview of the synthpop songwriter's debut album, Nothing's Real

CoSigned songwriter Shura made her breakthrough in 2014 with synthpop gems “Just Once” and “Touch”. Fast forward two years and the UK-based musician is not only about to hit the road with M83, but she’s also less than a month away from releasing her full-length debut, Nothing’s Real

Already we’ve heard a number of cuts off that LP, including the aforementioned “Touch” and last month’s “What’s It Gonna Be?”. Today, she’s let loose another in “Make It Up”, a wistful offering in which Shura emotionally tortures herself: “Is there something that I could have said? Would it have made a difference?”

Check it out below via Apple Music, where the song was premiered this afternoon.
