After debuting new music in Moscow last week, FKA twigs has announced that she’ll be releasing a new 52-minute feature film entitled Soundtrack 7. As BrooklynVegan reports, the film is a collection of original live performances from last year’s Manchester International Festival, which twigs initially captured in seven separate films. The alt-R&B singer has described Soundtrack 7 as “flesh, sweat, feeling, muscle, and a live movement, no air brushing, no frills.”
The “abstract autobiographical” film will premiere August 3rd at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, and it features EP2 tracks “Hot’s That” and “Ultraviolet” along with twigs’ latest single “Good to Love”. In addition to Soundtrack 7, twigs will premiere a self-directed short film featuring four songs from 2015’s M3LL155X EP.
