Gucci Mane hasn’t wasted any time putting the rap world on notice since his release from prison last month. Fresh off a two-year stint for firearms possession, Gucci has shared the video for a new song entitled “First Day Out The Feds” as well as the audio for another track from his forthcoming album, Everybody Looking.
That second track, “On Me”, is really something else. Not only does it sample (and slightly alter) the squealing synth line from MC Breed’s “Ain’t No Future In Yo Frontin”, but it’s got a verse reserved for the late, great Tupac. Before the conspiracy theorists start coming out of the woodwork, we should mention that the verse is actually from “Fuck ‘Em All”, which originally appeared on Pac’s posthumous 2002 album Better Dayz. Still, it’s pretty cool to hear two rap greats from different generations doing their thing side-by-side.
Everybody Looking, Gucci Mane’s first studio album in five years, is due out July 22nd. Check out “On Me” below.
