On September 16th, Preoccupations, the CoSigned band formerly known as Viet Cong, will release a new album. The self-titled LP collects nine tracks, including their latest in “Degraded”.
Following last month’s “Anxiety”, this new offering is a menacing rattler, the sonic equivalent of staring into a dark abyss. “There’s nothing left here to compete for,” frontman Matt Flegel sings. “Degrade into a fraction of yourself.”

In support of its forthcoming album, the post-punk outfit will hit the road for a lengthy world tour, including dates with Explosions in the Sky.
