Neil Young has revealed the 2016 lineup for his annual Bridge School Benefit Concert. Now in its 30th year, the annual event benefits the Bridge School, which assists children with severe physical impairments and complex communication needs. This year’s installment place October 22nd and 23rd at Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California.
Roger Waters, Metallica, and Dave Matthews headline this year’s lineup alongside My Morning Jacket, Willie Nelson, Cage the Elephant, Norah Jones, and case/lang/veirs (Neko Case, k.d. lang, and Laura Veirs). Young himself will also take the stage accompanied by his new band, Promise of the Real.
Traditionally, artists at Bridge School play stripped-down, acoustic sets. While Waters recently staged such a performance at Newport Folk Fest last year (accompanied by MMJ, no less), it’ll be interesting to see how Metallica will manage an unplugged set.
Tickets to Bridge School go on sale Monday, August 29th.
