Weezer to reissue their first six albums on vinyl

Every LP from 1994's The Blue Album to 2008's The Red Album

Earlier this week, Weezer’s classic Pinkerton was finally certified platinum. Even as the album hits 20 years old, it’s set to continue moving more units as a new reissue has been announce alongside all six of the band’s first records.

On October 28th, Geffen/UMe will repress every Weezer album released from 1994 to 2008 on fresh vinyl. The repressings include 1994’s The Blue Album, 1996’s Pinkerton, 2001’s The Green Album, 2002’sMaladroit, 2005’s Make Believe, and 2008’s The Red AlbumThis actually marks the second reissue of Pinkerton this year alone, though this new one won’t come with a fancy cocktail recipe like Vinyl My, Please’s version did.

Interestingly, the 28th is the same date that UMe will release the first half of its upcoming Beck reissues. They’re doing Beck’s entire catalog, so there’s always the possibility that Weezer’s post-The Red Album work, including this year’s self-titled/The White Albumcould be inline for new pressings in the future. For now, you can pre-order the first six reissues here for 20 bucks a pop.
