Deafheaven have spent a good chunk of the year on the road, sharing the stage with the likes of Ghost, Carcass, and, yes, even Slipknot. The black metal outfit will extend its relentless touring into 2017 with a new batch of US headlining dates.
The trek is set to kick off in mid-January and run until late March, with stops scheduled in Los Angeles, Austin, Nashville, Boston, Minneapolis, and Seattle. Post-rock songwriter Emma Ruth Rundle and shoegaze group This Will Destroy You have been tapped as openers. The tour is in continued support of Deafheaven’s incredibly good 2015 album, New Bermuda.
