Hans Zimmer announces 2017 tour dates, including first US shows

He'll perform selections from The Dark Knight Trilogy, Inception, Gladiator, et al.

The show will go on for legendary film composer Hans Zimmer. Following this year’s uber successful European tour, Zimmer has announced he’ll double dip and embark on another jaunt, only this time he’s planning to hit the states.

Starting April, the veteran maestro will play Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Las Vegas before he takes his scores and talents overseas again for an impressive two-month run. As you can see below, he’s going places.

“Performing a concert series like this is something that I have always wanted to do…” Zimmer explained in a press release. “I am very excited to get some of my very talented friends together and give our audiences an experience unlike any concert they have ever been to before.”

Each performance will be split into two parts: The first will feature his classic scores to The Lion King, Gladiator, and Pirates of the Caribbean, while the second will include reimagined renditions of his work with Christopher Nolan, specifically The Dark Knight Trilogy and Inception. Even better, he promises “special guests from the rock and pop world.”
