The puck drops in trailer for Goon: Last of the Enforcers — watch

Doug Glatt laces up the skates and throws down the gloves once more

    Goon skated into the hearts of sports movie fans in 2011 as a surprise cult hit. Five years later, the affable yet vicious Doug Glatt (Seann William Scott) is back on the blood stained ice in Goon: Last of the Enforcers. 

    The sequel marks the directorial debut of Jay Baruchel, who wrote the script with Jesse Chabot and also returns in front of the lens as Pat. The story finds Glatt forced out of hockey after suffering one too many concussions and impregnating his wife, Eva (Alison Pill). When the pros go on strike, however, Glatt finds himself called upon by his old team, the Halifax Highlanders, Also returning to the big show are Liev Shcreiber as Glatt’s rival/idol Ross “The Boss” Rhea”, Kim Coates as Coach Ronnie Hortense, and Marc-André Grondin as Xavier LaFlamme.

    Also starring in the film are Elisha Cuthbert, Wyatt Russell, and Callum Keith RennieGoon: Last of the Enforcers opens in Canadian theaters on March 17th, 2017, with a US release expected around the same time. Watch the first trailer for the movie above.
