The xx announce European tour, mail fans free tickets

The return of the British trio continues with a full tour schedule

The xx have been trickling out information about their return in surprising ways. First came some mysterious Spotify streams, then a leak of information hidden away in Shazam. Most recently, fans began receiving invitations and free tickets to a series of then-unannounced European tour stops for next year. Just as the Spotify songs led to full track reveals and the Shazam info preceded an official album announcement, those invites have now given way to a formal tour schedule.

The British trio has revealed a run of European dates for February and March of next year. All the stops will be in larger markets than those they’ll be visiting during their short November-December jaunt. Check their complete itinerary below, followed by some images of the free tickets received by fans.

Update: The xx have extended their residency at London’s O2 Academy Brixton, as FACT points out. The seven-date run will set a new record at the venue for longest string of performances by a band.
