Back in February, D.R.A.M. revealed that he had hit the studio with a very unlikely collaborator: Neil Young. “I worked on one of his records, he worked on one of my records,” he told Brooklyn Mag.
“It was really, really cool, man. I mean, a guy from the old school, like, a real, Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Famer. Just embracing my take on music, my sound, and the fact that I’m able to collaborate with someone so legendary, from a whole nother side of the spectrum… it’s monumental.”
Today, footage of their time together has surfaced via Is My Shit Tight?. Sessions took place in the backyard of Rick Rubin’s Shangri-La Studios, specifically Bob Dylan’s old tour bus. D.R.A.M. and Young were joined by a revolving door of special guests, including The Social Experiment and Nick Murphy, fka Chet Faker. It’s unclear whether their recorded material will ever be properly released, but there’s at least proof such a “monumental” link-up went down.
