Next year marks the 30th anniversary of the renowned non-profit educational institution and cultural embassy Tibet House US. If that weren’t enough to make the next annual Tibet House Benefit Concert a special one, it also happens to be artistic director Philip Glass’ 80th birthday in January, meaning 2017’s show is going to be one to remember.

To celebrate both landmarks, Tibet House has put together a stellar bill for the 2017 Benefit Concert going down March 16th at New York City’s Carnegie Hall. Iggy Pop, Patti Smith and her Band, Laurie Anderson, and New Order members Bernard Sumner, Phil Cunningham and Tom Chapman top the bill. Also performing will be Tenzin Choegyal and Jesse Paris Smith, Scorchio Quartet, Lavinia Meijer and more.

Update – January 9th: Sufjan Stevens has joined the lineup.

Update – January 26th: Alabama Shakes and Ben Harper have also joined the lineup.

Tickets range from $35 to $200, with gala packages featuring tickets and a dinner reception starting at $500. Proceeds go to support the cultural and educational efforts of Tibet House US. Purchase tickets and find out more information at TibetHouse.us or by calling (212)-807-0563.
