We’ve heard of War Dogs, even The Truth About Cats and Dogs, but … Isle of Dogs?

That’s the title of Wes Anderson’s  forthcoming animated film. This morning, the acclaimed auteur announced that production has begun in London on his highly anticipated follow-up to 2014’s The Grand Budapest Hotel. What’s more, he even confirmed his next A-list cast!

Joining him for this adventure will be a who’s who of familiar faces and newcomers, specifically: Bill Murray, Bryan Cranston, Tilda Swinton, Frances McDormand, Scarlett Johansson, Greta Gerwig, Jeff Goldblum, F. Murray Abraham, Harvey Keitel, Akira Ito, Akira Takayama, Koyu Rankin, Courtney B. Vance, Yoko Ono, and Edward Norton.

Update: According to Variety, Fox Searchlight has acquired the rights to Isle of Dogs for a 2018 release.

Would you like to tag along? Can you bark? Anderson’s currently collaborating with Crowdrise to find one winner to tour the set and voice one of the dogs. Those interested can donate $10 to the contest, which supports Martin Scorsese’s The Film Foundation.
