Today is Alicia Keys’ birthday (happy birthday, Alicia!), and she celebrated by gifting her fans with a brand new song. Called “That’s What’s Up”, the track samples Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo cut “Low Lights”, which in turn sampled Kings of Tomorrow’s (Sandy Rivera) 2004 song “So Alive”. The sparse neo-gospel arrangement lets Key’s voice — one of the greatest of all time — ring out clear and unobstructed as she showers praise on the Lord.
