Saturday Night is the debut solo album from Ought frontman Tim Darcy, scheduled for release next month. Previously, we took a peek at “Tall Glass of Water”, the lead single and one of November’s best songs. Now, Darcy’s gifting fans with a track called “Still Waking Up”.
In the same vein as its predecessor, the latest offering finds Darcy channeling the folk and Americana of yesteryear. Specifically, the slow romantic swell of “Still Waking Up” could easily find a home alongside the balladry of classic acts like The Everly Brothers. Check it out above via its accompanying visual, directed by Meg Remy of indie pop outfit U.S. Girls.
Saturday Night arrives on February 17th through Jagjaguwar. Darcy will support the LP with a North American and European tour that kicks off in a few weeks.
