Following yesterday’s huge Women’s March on Washington, Planned Parented hosted an afterparty at the 9:30 Club. The event featured performances from The National and Sleater-Kinney, along with comedians Tig Notaro, Janeane Garofalo, and Cameron Esposito. All proceeds benefited Planned Parenthood and more than $100,000 was raised through ticket sales alone.
During their own set, Sleater-Kinney led a poignant cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Fortunate Son” with The National’s Matt Berninger, Dirty Projectors’ Dave Longstreth, and Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards all providing backup vocals. Watch video below.
