Writer-director David Robert Mitchell broke through in 2015 with his original horror film It FollowsThis summer, he’ll bring his talents to the world of crime noir comedy thrillers with his follow-up production, Under the Silver Lake.

The movie stars Andrew Garfield as Sam, a 33-year-old Los Angeles resident with out much drive or hope. That is until he meets a beautiful woman, Sarah (Riley Keough) swimming in his apartment complex pool. When she mysteriously disappears, Sam dives headlong into a world of mystery and scandal, seeking out coded messages in everyday life that hint at a conspiracy reaching farther and deeper than he ever imagined.
